I'm just saying.....
Out of touch with the struggles of lower and middle class America? You tell me. I guess I wouldn't really care all that much about the state of the economy if I had 8 houses and an entire fleet of vehicles. Strong economy? Yeah I guess you might feel that way if you were in his shoes.

LOL, however I find it hard to believe that the Obama's really only have one vehicle between the two of them.
It's not his fault his wife came from money...hell I wish I came from money...lol and i have to agree with tanya there is NO way that obama only has one car between him and his wife...I seen his wife and I don't see her without a car, maybe she doesn't have her own car but i bet she has her own driver....
Hey - I'm willing to conceed that the Obama's probably have two cars. I'm even ok if they have three...or a driver. That isn't the point really. The point is with so much excess how can he really be in touch with MY position in life? And good for him for marrying someone with money. It's not the money I take issue with - it's being out of touch with MY needs.
How many homes does McCain own? Oh right - even he didn't know. Again - I'm just saying. And the good thing about this all is "my blog, my say." :)
I think you should re-title your blog to: "I'm just sayin" :o)
Brenda: Check out the new header. :) I cna't totally give up my Dancing on the Edge title but I can amuse you for a bit. :)
Casey,
Thank you. What I am enjoying most about your Political Posts is that they are so well researched and that you never get made when I comment to respectfully disagree:) (and I know that sentence could sound condescending, but I really mean it as I love a good debate)
Now, on to the issue at hand. Sen. McCain and is "excess" fortune. McCain did not grow up with money. He did not have much to speak of until he married Cindy, whose family MADE their money in our Capitalist Society where everyone is entitled to earn as much as they please. It is their money! What would you like them to do with it, give it to the government to spend?
Also, what about the ineffectiveness of the Congress? Which is controlled by Democrats. I am hearing a lot of Republican bashing, but they aren't alone in Washington. What has the Great Nancy Pelosi done as Speaker? I mean is is almost as likely to be president as Palin or Biden.
Emily
Since it was brought up...here's a nice list of Nancy Pelosi's accomplishments since she was appointed Speaker of the House. Probably a little longer than Sarah Palin's, and doesn't include charging rape victims for their rape kit, or banning books! ;)
I'm just sayin'! hahaha
It would be helpful if I left the link, I guess!

Jen, are you kidding me with this? Read through a few of those bills and see what has been done. Not to mention the HUGE number of authorization bills that they are leaving on the table and the fact that they needed to pass a CR to keep the government working-
Seriously, let's call it like it is. And tell me again what The 110th Congress has done.
Emily
Okay, I'll bite the obvious ploy for a confrontation...
Here are a few:
*Passed the first energy bill requiring an increase of fuel-efficiancy since 1975.
*Increased the minimum wage from 5.15 an hour to 7.25.
*Increase military pay by 3.5 percent and increased medical benefits.
*Passed a 1.8 billion dollar bill for veteren's medical care.
*Passed a bill requiring the implementation of all the 9/11 commission's recommendations.
*Numerous lobbying/reform bills.
*Several bills requiring regulations of student loan companies.
I could go on. But, I'm sure as an "independant" voter, you already discovered all of this through your own research.
