John, John, John.

It's no secret that I am not a fan of John McCain for President. But I am afraid he has taken my dislike for him to a whole new level.

He has a new "attack ad" out.

"The Republican National Committee is distributing a mail piece that says "Terrorists" on the front and opens to a big picture of Barack saying "Not Who You Think He Is."

John McCain -- who promised to run a respectful campaign -- said that he was "absolutely" proud of it."

So...let's take a look at the definition of a terrorist, shall we?

Definition according to Wikipedia
Terrorism is the systematic use of terror especially as a means of coercion.[1] There is no internationally agreed definition of terrorism.[2][3] Most common definitions of terrorism include only those acts which are intended to create fear (terror), are perpetrated for an ideological goal (as opposed to a lone attack), and deliberately target or disregard the safety of non-combatants. Some definitions also include acts of unlawful violence and war.

Terrorism is also a form of unconventional warfare and psychological warfare. The word is politically and emotionally charged,[4] and this greatly compounds the difficulty of providing a precise definition. One 1988 study by the US Army found that over 100 definitions of the word "terrorism" have been used.[5] A person who practices terrorism is a terrorist. The concept of terrorism is itself controversial because it is often used by states to deligitimize political opponents, and thus legitimize the state's own use of terror against those opponents.

Terrorism has been used by a broad array of political organizations in furthering their objectives; both right-wing and left-wing political parties, nationalistic, and religious groups, revolutionaries and ruling governments.[6] The presence of non-state actors in widespread armed conflict has created controversy regarding the application of the laws of war.

While acts of terrorism are criminal acts as per the United Nations Security Council Resolution 1373 and domestic jurisprudence of almost all countries in the world, terrorism refers to a phenomenon including the actual acts, the perpetrators of acts of terrorism themselves and their motives. There is disagreement on definitions of terrorism.

So let's see....let's highlight the part that jumps out at me:
Most common definitions of terrorism include only those acts which are intended to create fear (terror), are perpetrated for an ideological goal

Interesting. That is exactly what John McCain is doing; creating fear. That makes WHO the terrorist? Oh right - John McCain and his posse.

I don't know - when you have to stoop to such a low level as that maybe it's time to take a good long look in the mirror to see if the person you have become is truly the person you want to be.

Knock it off, John. You are totally coming off as a scared old man and God help us all if the majority of the country falls for it.

You nailed that. I'm also sick of the "I'm Joe the Plumber" ad,too. CBS just had a report on the evening news, and I don't remember the percentages, but people are not happy with his nasty ads. The approval rate for Obama's informational ads is very high. He's hurting himself, but I guess we should just let him shoot his own foot. It a favor to all of us.

He just strikes me as a nasty, nasty man. I'd love to see him "behind closed doors". I bet he is truly frightening!
