A Princess Tea Party

Saturday was not only my birthday but it was also Uncle Richard's "Annual Company Christmas Party". Every year since Kelton was two he has gone - and he loves it! He lives for this special time with his uncle and talks about the party periodically throughout the year. This year, Kaylen is old enough to know that she wasn't going to get to go so Dakota pulled together a Princess Tea Party just for her. So while Kelton was off at his party, Kaylen dressed in her princess gear and we headed over to Dakota's mom's house for a tea party.

Kaylen was just so stinkin' cute! I could tell you all about it but really, pictures speak a thousand words so here you go:

Kaylen and me before heading to the party.

Dakota, Kaylen and friends.

Arriving at Grandma's house.

The little Princess.

All dressed up and looking good!

Opening her princess tea party set - a big, big hit!!

Choosing her pink cookies.

Kaylen and Grandma.

Pretty girl!

This is a photo of Kelton after his Christmas party - check out that cool balloon candy cane!

And, just for the fun of it, a birthday picture of me.

Dakota and I went out for about four hours last night.....which was one of my favorite gifts. I just love having kid-free time with my sweetie. :) Dakota gave me the sweetest gift though - a beautiful bracelet with the kids names on it. It's very similar to the one I gave her for her birthday last April and I love, love, love it!! Now I no longer have to look at hers with envy! Thank you, honey! I love it....and you! :)

Happy Birthday Casey! You both are such GOOD moms! I really love the way you get excited about things for your kids. They have a great childhood! Whenever I am feeling overwhelmed and my kids are driving me crazy I often think of you and the many fun and wonderful things you guys do! It helps me to be the mom I want to be!

Audra: :)

Mimi: Thank you!

Brenda: It really was fun! And thanks!

Patti: Thank you! Isn't that cand cane something else? Amazing!

Momtothreeboys: Thank you! :)

Heidi: Thanks! But please don't get the wrong impression. There are plenty of times (a day!) that I get frustrated with the kids and beleive me, they drive me crazy and I have lots of times when I don't feel like a good mom. One thing I've discovered though, moms who feel they have no clue what they are doing and are overwhelmed by it all are the moms who are great at being moms. The ones you have to watch out for are the ones who profess to having it all together. Because let's be honest, this parenting thing is tough and no one knows what they are doing. I have this funny feeling that you are doing an amazing job!!!! (and if you will write a blog I will be able to offer rock solid evidence. HINT! LOL!)

Dakota: Thanks, hon!

Willow: Thanks!

Shannon: Pink indeed! It's the girl's favorite color...well..pink, purple and white. (white was added last week to the favorite list). Thanks for the birthday greetings.

Lynilu: Awwwww. Thanks. :)

SassyFemme: Thanks!!!

Fern: *Laughing* Thanks!

Ruth: Thank you! I appreciate your kind words. :)

Stacey: Thank you! :)

I'm finally taking a break from packing, Christmas, etc. Your photos were JUST what I needed (if you could only see the smiles over here). Princess Kaylen is adorable, and the Birthday Girl is pretty darn adorable, too! :-)
