As The Years Go By

The first year was a fluke - the photographer pulled me into a picture with Kelton because she thought it would be cute. The next year, very pregnant with Kaylen, I wanted to copy it because I know it would be the last picture of just Kelton and me alone together. Then, it just made sense to keep taking the same post so I could watch my babies grow and change (and apparently myself as well. Dang I looked young in that first picture!).

I think it's so cool to be able to see them all to compare them. Enjoy!

I love this series that you've done, it will be so neat to look back on 20 + years from now. I think Kelton has changed the most over the years. It will be great for you to compare as they get into middle school, teenage years and adults. Fun, fun.

I have one of those frames that you put the childrens picture in from kindergarden until the 12th grade and I LOVE it......

Very sweet! You've hardly changed at all! (Although you do look a LITTLE tired in the first one with both kids... :-) )

MP: I wasn't so much tired (though I guess I was since I hadn't really slept the night before) as terrified. That photo was taken the morning after the day she first stopped breathing and the 9-1-1 call. I had no idea what was really wrong with her or what would happen next so I took them in for pictures (I know...odd and twisted but I never would have forgiven myself if I hadn't). So what you see is tired mixed with a whole lot of fear and anxiety.
