Mama Said There'd Be Days Like This

It's been a hard day full of ups and downs for me. Many downs, few ups. I think my new manta should be "Don't think, just do." Just keep putting one foot in front of the other.


*sigh* I just miss my mom being in the world. This bites.

Losing someone close to you has got to be the most difficult part of living. Cling to those good memories.

Yep, at this stage all you can do is 'pick them up and set them back down'. When you're ready, I highly recommend the book "The Grief Recovery Handbook" by John W. James and Russell Friedman. There are sometimes programs available that take you through it in a group setting. My Mother's cemetary hosts it twice each year. Very helpful!
