The Bowling Set

Kelton: "I want to play with my bowling set. You know, the plastic one with pins and you roll the ball and hit them."

Me: "Sorry honey, I gave that away."

Kelton: "You WHAT? How could you DO that? It was my favorite toy EVER!"

Me: "I did it because you never played with it and we need to make room for the toys you do play with."

He runs off to his bedroom crying

Comes back and yells "DON'T GIVE MY TOYS AWAY AGAIN!"

*sigh*
I gave it away over 6 months ago. Somehow I doubt it was his favorite toy ever.

It's been a very long day here.

That story is hilarious! Oh the drama!

I just tell my kids I don't know where something is but that I will look later and eventually they give up. I guess I am not the most honest mom but Corinne would freak out if she knew I got rid of anything...even worn out ripped up socks.

It so funny how dramatic they can be isn't it? Don't even try to have a yardsale with the kiddos around. They will beat down potential customers LOL

Strange how much they love the things they never actually play with? Hugs!!!

We've recently done a toy purge with our move next week and I had Brendan pick what to give away, but we might um "lose" some more toys next week, you know how it is. :)

See!?! THAT is why my house is full of clutter. My fear of THAT!

I like Perrin's suggestion. I'm lucky because my kids tend not to get attached to things. At our last garage sale I told them I was getting rid of the baby toys because they were too big for them. They were 100% okay with it.

Too, too funny!!!

Thank you for your thoughts, comments, and keeping up on us. I've not been the best blogger lately in keeping up with my blog friends. I check in frequently but don't always have the time to post.

I'm putting a lot of hope in your gut feeling!!! Keep the prayers coming!

I read this today on one of my mommy boards, and your post made me think of this!......

By following simple advice heard on the Dr. Phil show, you too can find inner peace.

Dr. Phil proclaimed, "The way to achieve inner peace is to finish all the things you've started and never finished."

So, I looked around my house to see all the things I started and hadn't finished, and before leaving the house this morning, I finished off a bottle of Merlot, a bottle of Kahlua, a package of Oreos, the remainder of my old Prozac prescription, the rest of the cheesecake, some Doritos and a box of chocolates.

You have no idea how freaking good I feel.

Hope that gave you a laugh or two!

Where or where has my blogger friend gone? It's been several days since you've posted. Not like you. Hope everything is okay!

We're still in that great age where we can donate toys/clothes and Froggy has no idea! I've been off the computer for a week, so I've gotta get caught up. Hope all is well!

Instead of bowling set, it was the "bouncy thing" in our house. Otherwise the conversation was exactly the same. My son is 4.

Love your blog....
