Now Where Were We?Oh right - I was going to tell you all about the weekend.
Friday morning I took the kids to this brand new play place called
Cafe Sip-n-Play. While it advertises itself as a place for the kids to play while the parent enjoy a cup of coffee and relax, it isn't quite like that. Sure, there are tables set up for grown-ups to sit and talk (and they have Wi-Fi) but it's a smaller-than-I-anticipated place and it was jam-packed with moms and kids. Even so, it was really a lot of fun. I'm not the type of mom who would just drop my kids in the play area and go read a book while I tried to keep one ear open for their screams so for me, the lack of seating wasn't really a big thing. I hung out in the areas the kids were in so I could watch and play with them. It was really, really fun!

Casey...for one your Backyardigans Invitation looks so good. I need to learn to do these kinds of things. I think Dylan is having a Pirate party this year.
I am excited to see pics of Cafe Sip-N-Play. I was so anxious for it to open and now I need to go check it out.
The tatoo pics are hilarious and it is so wonderful when they are old enough for drop-off playdates. Love them!!
Love, love, love the pictures. The tattoos are too funny.
That is too funny about the tattoos! I love reading your blog and looking at the pictures. You're such a great Mom!
LOL - Loved the Tattoo!
OK, truth is, I was kind of watching them....then Kelton started helping Kaylen, which was cute....then I started cleaning the living room...and I knew they were putting on tatoos....I knew Kelton put one on his face, and it seemed like it was going to come right off, like the ones he'd rubbed right off the day before...I didn't think about him putting one on her face.Oh, well. The pictures sure turned out cute!
Sounds like a great weekend!
Don't know if you are still looking for Backyardagains b-day stuff or not. I've seen b-day supply stuff available at birthdayexpress.com (http://tinyurl.com/2l736h)
Great pics. Sounds like a jam-packed wonderful weekend! Hope the sleeping situation gets better.
So cute! We have the same life! It's me and my kids doing the same type of things waiting for dad to come home. It's so fun to be a mom! BTW- you are making me want to start my own blog about family life. I shall add that to my list of things to do!
Heidi
phew, what a weekend!
You must be exhausted!
Love all of the pics! (especially the tattoo ones. I wish we had those when I was a kid!)
Those pictures are so funny. I LOVE how Dakota was suppose to be watching the kids and they ended up with all those tattoos all over. At least it wasn't permanent markers.
As for the rat...I don't like rats. The picture does remind me of Templeton from Charlote's Web.
Perrin: It is still kinda of strange for me to have Kelton at drop-off playdates. I'm sure I'll get used to it but it's so strange to not know what he is doing at any given moment. You should definitely check out Sip-n-Play!
Dee: Thanks!
Patti_Cakes: Thanks - that was a really great thing to say. Totally made me smile. :)
Brenda: I'm happy to send some down for Carson and Katie to play with. *wink*
Dakota: Yes, the pictures turned out cute. And I told you I would blog about it. Hee hee! :)
Sonya: Thanks for the tip!
FroggyMama: Thanks - me too!!!
Heidi: I'm always happy to add to someone else's ToDo List! And you know, I think you really should start a blog. I'd visit! :)
Holly: It was a tiring weekend but alas, I think I am more tired today than I was this weekend. It's just so nice to have someone to share it all with. Alone is much more tiring.
SeasonalKat: Going someplace sounds fun! I would probably be doing that if we were having a friend/kid party but alas, we only have small family gathering parties for the kids.
Caroline: Oh believe me - it's *been* perm markers before. And I do believe that was under Dakota's watch as well. :) My Dakota - she does tend to get distracted sometimes. Even Kelton asked her this weekend when she took too long doing something for him "Mom? Did you get distracted again?" Cracked me up! :)
