Bring It On
November 1st. I love it. I had my very first peppermint mocha of the season today and I dressed Kaylen in her overalls that has snowflakes and penguins on it. Later this afternoon, I fully intend on pulling from the closet the bin with the winter and Christmas motifs. Bring it on - I'm ready!

We had our first fire last night! While I hate winter, I do love fall!
No, no, no, it's too soon. It was 70 degrees here yesterday and today, although it will back to the 40s by Friday. I'm not ready for it to be November yet.
I second your "bring it on". I am so ready for x-mas. As we were taking down our Halloween decorations today I asked Laura if we could just put up the x-mas stuff now. She looked at me, rolled her eyes and said, "wait just three more weeks and then we can". I can't wait and I am so excited to see that someone else is just as excited as I am.
Kristen, I love fall too but there is just something fun about winter clothes for the kids. I love it! And the peppermint mocha's are big fun for me as well. :)
Laura, 70 degrees does make it hard to get into the spirit of winter. Though honestly, I'm not sure I could handle NY winters. I like the mild ones (well mild compared to yours. I think day temps in the 30's and 40's is pretty cold but I know it's not cold like you have.).
Caroline, I'm excited about it all (well....except the money that I have to figure out how to scrape up for the kids Christmas gifts...that's always stressful for me but we seem to find a way to manage. It's just a stress I wish we didn't have *sigh*). The decoration, the smells, the music...I'm ready! We put our Halloween stuff away today (much to Kelton's disappointment) and as soon as the lid was snapped on the last box, Kelton said "Ok - let's put up the Christmas stuff!" I laughed and said that we still had to wait a few weeks but in truth, we already have a few nutcrackers around the house. Kelton has a thing for them so as soon as we saw that they were out at Wal-Mart, he begged to buy one...and of course if he gets one, so does Kaylen. :) There were a couple others in a drawer for last year that we forgot to put away so those are out already too.
That's one sure thing about kids - they LOVE all the decorations so things come out earlier and stay up longer. :)
