Spinning

SPIN
SPIN
SPIN

If you read an earlier post of mine, then you know what those three little words mean.

This is my livingroom as it looks at this very moment - it's a disaster and I don't even care. I'm just going to leave it - maybe D will clean it up when she gets home. Maybe not. I just don't care.

Yet another day on the suck-o-rama ride. Is it just trying to adjust and feeling overwhelmed? It is PPD getting worse? It is a combination of many things? It is just my inability to cope? Maybe I'm just a sucky parent. Maybe it's everything.

Wait, how did you get into my house to take the picture!!! ;)
It looks exactly like that here. I don't have any words of wisdom... just that I totally know, I've really been struggling with those same questions too...
I'll just send you a blog hug and hope you are sleeping by this point!

If it helps I have the matching pair to your living room at my house, also one matching 3yr old bedroom floor going cheap. On days like this I long for a playroom where I could shut the door and a living room that has no toys in it.

Stop spinning. Open your eyes. You're not spinning, you're just slowly yet safely rotating in a clockwise fashion.
FWIW, Charlie's bedroom looks like that and the damn kid doesn't even HAVE toys yet!

How did you get that shot of my living room floor? Is there some kind of rule that every single toy/object must be on the floor at the same time?

Hugs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think we've concluded that...

Kids = toys = clutter = uncontrolled chaos :)

Our great room looks worse than this right at the moment. The kicker is is that that is the room that is ALWAYS clean... very little toys and rarely used. But this week the girls' have taken to building castles and forts in there with EVERY pillow and couch cushion in the house. We have to go retrieve all the bed pillows before going to bed.

They've had a grand time and it is fun to watch and listen. THAT is what brings me calm amongst the storm.

Many of the other rooms look equally so... it's just the great room that is out of the ordinary.

AND, we have a playroom. But, because we CAN close the door on the playroom it always looks worse than we ever would allow it to get in our living space. It's pretty bad when there is no floor left :)

Hang in there!
