I just told the kids that Dakota will be taking a 6 week four night a week seminar starting the week after next.
It went over as well as you might expect.

Our Career Services is going a Career Fellowship program, or some such fancy made-up name, to help us network, find volunteer opportunities, enhance our legal research skills and generally improve our chances of employment. If it is a waste of time, I will not continue going, but I feel like I need to at least check out the first week. This sucks for all of us. I even tried to get Career Services to let us pick and choose the classes we would attend. Asking this of families who have had to do without a parent for the past four years is HUGE. I wish it could only be two days a week, or maybe some daytime options, too. Ugh.
Maybe it will be A) a super duper opportunity for you - and thus worth it kinda-sorta or B) shorter than you think! Best of luck Dakota
