Is it just me?

It is just me or do children seem to enjoy making complete disaster areas out of formerly clean bathroom counter I don't know what it is about my two but it seems as if I barely toss the cleaning rag into the washing machine before the sink area is a mess of spilled toothpaste, discarded drinking cups and puddles of water. Sometimes I wonder why I even bother. *sigh*
