I couldn't sleep again last night. Well - to be fair, I did but only for about 4 hours which I guess is the scheme of things, isn't so bad. I guess I got a bit cocky thinking I was back in the swing of sleeping lately but nope- I guess like everything it's hit and miss.
I've already sent off my thank you for the interview I had last evening and now I have time to blog before the kids wake up. Not to mention enjoy a cup of coffee from a brand new mug. I guess being up early has it's perks (coffee....perk....get it? Maybe I am way more tired than I realize because I thought that was pretty darn clever. Hee he).
The interview went fine - it was an easy conversation type which is nice but leaves me wondering if he got all the information he really needed to know what he needs to know about me. He seems likes a really nice guy and someone I could be very happy working for. His office team were all incredibly friendly and welcoming. There are a couple other candidates he has scheduled to interview and then he will contact a couple people to schedule working interviews. I am hoping like heck I make the call back list. Keep good thoughts, please.
Today is a big day around here. Today is Kaylen's 5th birthday! Five. Five?!?! She is so excited and has been talking for days about her "real birthday" when she becomes a "big kid for real!" My baby is a big kid today. It takes every finger on one hand to show how old she is. That's huge! She's five. Wow.
I have no idea how she went from this:
To this:
so quickly.
Oh right. Step by step, day by day and year by year.
Happy Birthday, sweet baby girl of mine. Welcome to the world of being a "big kid".
