The day was indeed beautiful from beginning to end...weather wise. The children ran hot and cold on the beautiful spectrum - OY! But the weather was amazing!
We hung out in the yard for hours and hours playing games, soaking in all the vitamin D from the sunshine and dreaming of summertime camping in the yard. Thoughts even wandered to the joys of rv camping which I personally would love! :) By about
3pm we were feeling restless so decided to head out to our local "one stop shopping" place and scout out flowers to plant in the back gardens.
The kids had a great time checking out all the plants and picking out the ones they would like. After hitting the deli for an easy dinner, we headed home to eat and then work on the garden a bit. Kelton and I put together the hanging basket he decided he wanted and Dakota and Kaylen worked on planting marigolds - both already started flowers and seeds. If you remember from last year, Kaylen has a green thumb like no one I've ever known and she is fantastic at growing beautiful flowers from seed.
Now that everything is in the soil and the yard is picked up we're all settling in and getting ready for bedtime for the wee ones. It's been a long but good day. Tomorrow Kelton heads back to school and none of us are thrilled about it. It's been a great spring break and I can't wait until summer when he is back with us full time.
And yes - there are pictures to be had but I have not yet downloaded from the camera. I will though.....eventually. :)
