And Speaking of Smart...

...like I did in the post below this one. Check out what my little guy did this morning. I am so excited for a couple of reasons. The first being that he has decided that it's ok to write his name by placing the letters in the right order and in a straight line. You have no idea how long we've been enduring the "No Mom. I want them all mixed up." phase. And the second because he wrote "love" for the first time just by having my spell it for him. I'm so proud! :)

And in case you are wondering...it's a chair with feet and then he added his and Kaylen's faces and that stuff to the right is hair. Oh - and ears on top of his head, of course. He is nothing if not creative! :)

Excellent drawing and lovely writing!

Often Ellie's papers come home with the letters to her name all jumbled up. She writes them all in order, she just writes them so huge that she runs out of room. LOL

And put together a comment for an earlier post... but that dang new blogger ate it! Sorry!

Mist: Thanks! I'm really excited about all his art that is finally looking like things other people will understand. His roller coasters and contraptions were getting a little old. :) And I am SO loving the writing. Cute cute cute! I just want to gobble him up when I see a paper lying on the table that he wrote his name on. :)

It's beautiful!! :-) Keep it for always!! Great job with the printing. He's just going to go to kindergarten right? Yay Kelton!

That's awesome.

FroggyMama: Me, too! I wonder why it is we lose confidence in our ability to be creative and just let it flow through us.

Mystic: Thank you! :)

Jen: I plan too! Mist gave me the idea of framing it so even though I know he actually intended for it to go to Grandma, I am going to keep it and frame it. No offfense to Grandma but darn it - *I* want his first real drawing with real writing on it. It will mean far more to me in the long run. :) And yes, he will be in kindergarten in September of this year.

Shannon: Thank you!

Your little man is some kind of talented. I love your family pic. I am tossing around ideas for one and white shirt/jeans combo was one of my thoughts. Y'all are a beautiful family!

Patti Cake: Thank you, thank you and thank you!! :) We tend to do all our family pics in white shirts and jeans because I think it's a timeless classic look. I highly recommend it! (Oh! And we tend to go barefoot too, if feet are going to show, so that we don't have to worry if the shoes "go" with each other (i.e.: pink and baby blue princess vs blue/red/white spiderman shoes)
